Scholarship Examination for 5th & 8th
SCERT (State Council for Education Research and Training Pune) conducts this exam for students of std V and std VIII. This is an objective type examination which is held on the 3rd Sunday of the month of February. The examination consists of two papers each being 90 minutes long. Each question carries two marks, totalling to 300 which is divided equally among the two papers.
Paper1 consists of First language and Mathematics. And Paper2 has third language and I.T.(intelligence test) that is General Mental Ability Test. There are no prescribed textbooks for languages. Students have to study vocabulary, grammar and comprehension of passages, poems, conversations, emails, advertisements, etc.
