Why do we arrange trips ?

We at Vaze Class have only one goal, all-round development of our students. For the same purpose, we arrange field visits which are full with info-tainment, yes information plus entertainment. Our main motives are – increasing (student – teacher) and (student – student) interaction, training them to be self-dependent but in a protected environment, making them understand all the aspects of life and giving them a practical approach to the knowledge they gain through books. Students witness concepts which they were taught in classrooms which deepens their understanding and interest in the subject and also makes them less prone to mugging. Due to the various excursions in the fields of history, geography and science students get to meet and interact with Mahesh sir, Nilesh sir and Pitambar sir and they learn a lot from them. They get to discuss and debate on various different topics. Geography excursions helps students understand a lot about landforms, erosion, weathering patterns, rocks, types of soil, clouds, inter-tidal zones, etc. This is because of the fact that they get to see such geographical features by themselves. Such students tend to avoid mugging and by hearting as they have a better knowledge of the concepts. During Historical excursions, students visit and observe various forts, ancient places, temples, and much more. Such field visits encourage students to develop a liking to the subject and also clear a lot of doubts and misunderstandings. A lot of students are encouraged to pursue a career in this subject. The outlook of students towards studies changes due to such trips. Science excursions help students get closer to and interact with nature. Both students and parents understand that these subjects cannot be taught and learned among the boundaries of the classroom. Certain concepts in science such as plant and animal classification, morphology, tissues, adaptations in plants, food chain, ecosystems,  types of motions in Physics, etc are taught a lot better practically through excursions and trips. Such trails are arranged in the vicinity of our classes for the same. As students develop a liking to the subject, their observational skills develop and they are able to grasp the concepts easily and quickly. Students are also encouraged to develop hobbies such as photography, bird watching, plant identification, etc

Anandwan - Hemalkasa- Somnath

Anandwan is a non profit organization which aims for the welfare of the unfortunate people who are a victim of leprosy (Maha Rog) disease and are outcast by the society. Hemalkasa is a project for the integrated development of the tribe Madia – Gond. Somnath is a land allotted by the government for rehabilitation of the patients in Anandwan and it is an agricultural project.  Our motive behind the visit to these places is that our students should know the despair of the people among our society and also to acknowledge the great efforts by Baba Amte and his family who have raised all the projects. Students also get an opportunity to meet Prakash and Vikas Amte in person which truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity which motivates them.

Kas / Sajjangad

This is an excursion to one of the world heritage sites, Kas. It’s a biodiversity hotspot. Students see and learn about a great diversity of flora and fauna from the experts who accompany us in this trip. Students are shown some of the main attractions of Kas such as Drosera and Utricularia which are insectivorous plants and Kandil Pushpa which is a very rare plant. Students are also taken to the Kas lake and Bamnoli which is a backwater of Koyna river where there are boating facilities available. We also visit Sajjangad along with experts such as Pitambar sir and Jai Paranjpe who are faculty members of our class. Students are taken to many more places such as Thoseghar waterfall and Windmill farm at Chalkewadi which are known for their aesthetic beauty and also impart knowledge to them.
